Clip to ScrapBook
I have been to a couple of job fairs and at all of them I have worn a suit or a very professional dress. I would NOT wear knaki's and a sweater or even a jumper type dress. These are prelim interviews and first impressions
do make a difference. These people who you are meeting with will go back and talk to the principals and other people who will hire you and believe me they will remember those who were not professionally dressed over those who have excellent resumes. It is sad to say but it is true. When I approach a booth I always stick out my hand and introduce myself. I have a smile and a confident
appearnace. You should have your resume in hand and not fumbling in your bag or folder to get one out. Tell them you are interested in a elementary/secondary/ESL what ever type of postion and would like to set up an interview. Then thank them and shake thier hand again. I just got home from a job fair and I had 12 prelim interviews and from that I had 1 job offers and the other 11 want me to contact them in the next couple of weeks.
