phone calls
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree that this might be considered harrassment. I think you need to take a couple of steps. First, inform your principal. He or she needs to know what is going on. Also, you may find that there is a written policy on
such behavior. Second, you might try talking to the student directly. Get her alone and start with something like, "Gee, you really seemed to need to get hold me my yesterday. What was happening?" I hate to over react on stuff like this. A child in fourth grade probably isn't aware of the legality of her actions where the phone is concerned. It may have been a prank and could even
have involved several friends who found your number and decided to play a telephone game. Yeah, it could be dangerous, and adults could be involved, but a kid and a phone can get into plenty of pretty harmless trouble if she's alone and bored (or maybe scared). Of course, if it ever happens again you'll have to take the next step.
