even sadder
By working mother

Clip to ScrapBook
What's sad is your taking the liberty to make judgements on the lifestyle of others. We are not lazy and selfish. We are dedicated and hardworking, but more importantly we do NOT pass judgment on others. Not every family
can afford to have one parent stay home and it isn't necessarily true that if you stay home with your children your children will be better off (I have stay at home parents who drop their children off at before care and don't pick them up until 6!) I hope you don't judge the working mothers of your students as harshly as you are judging those of us who need to find a balance between income
and family. If both my husband and I did not work, I would not be able to contribute to my ailing parent's medical bills, afford eyeglasses and braces for my children, etc. When one of my sons was born he had serious medical needs--I am thankful we had two incomes and an excellent medical plan--it relieved a great deal of stress and worry about how to pay some of those medical bills. So until you walk in the shoes of someone who needs two incomes, please refrain from judging our lifestyles!
