My children don't wear name brand clothes - they wear hand-me-downs from their cousins. My husband makes very little money - it supplements mine and always has and likely always will. He will be lucky if he makes $15000 this year - and that's Canadian. Your husband makes as much as we do together. It's easy to make sacrifices on that. And since when is student loans, a mortgage (3 bedroom 900 sq. ft), and a car that can get you somewhere without breaking down "stupid stuff"???I want to pay for my child's education, too - something my parents couldn't do for me. But that isn't going to happen if I don't work. I hate it when new teachers and childless women think they have all of the answers. Talk to me in 10 years after you've lived a little.
