I teach 4th grade Lang. Arts only. The advantage is that you have fewer lesson plans to do. The disadvantage is moving the children around so much and the difference of classroom management styles between teachers - the
kids pick up on it right away. If the 3 teachers are truly working together as a team, the rules will be consistent between the 3 and you can do thematic units between the 3. You must work together or the kids will be out of sync. Also, you can teach reading strategies (inferring, questioning, visualization etc.) in all 3 classes and help really improve test scores (and since when did

test scores get to be such a high & mighty thing????) Study over the summer and coordinate with the other 2 and you should have a great year.
Any other suggestions?
