Reading Levels
By Donna

Clip to ScrapBook
I've discovered the Lemony Snickett series, and they do help some. The children love them. I'll need to search out those other authors you mentioned. I am well set for reading levels up to about 5.6. After that, it gets hard. In my classroom (Gr. 5), the children always have an AR book and a "Me" book - something they want to read that isn't on AR yet, or nonfiction. I have the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books, but their reading level is a lower than what I am on the hunt for.

Julie, do you have books by L. M. Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables, Emily of New Moon...)? Those are at a Grade 6-7 reading level and perfectly suitable in content.

If anyone has more ideas or suggestions, PLEASE continue to post them. Thanks!!
