laugh a minute

This board is wonderful.
I'm recalling my 3rd graders and their interesting comments:
"Do we have to do Social Studies? I really want to do math. I love doing math. Can't we do social math?"
Students had just completed a full morning of testing. I praised them for working so hard, then explained there was one more assignment. With only a few minutes before lunch, I explained that they had to be really noisy for one minute. I was very serious. Students knew it, too, but one youngster still following procedures, raised his hand, stood up when I called on him, and in complete seriousness asked me, "Are you losing your grip?"
That made my day :-)
