Degree/Certificate

My opinion is based on the programs at my school, which may differ greatly from yours. I would suggest that you pursue the full degree. I also have a degree from another college, and upon entering my current university I chose to go through the full degree program. I found that all the general ed requirements were waived in lieu of my past degree, and I only had to complete 2 additional years of school. The knowledge and experience I have earned through this program is invaluable. While the certificate program was shorter and easier, I don't think it would have prepared me for the classroom as well as my degree program has.
