team teaching

Another 3rd grade teacher and I have been team teaching successfully for 5 years. Her strength is math and mine is Written Language. Our students switch classrooms for one hour a day right after recess. Before they go play, they take any necessary materials to the class next door. The students seem to enjoy the variety and we enjoy teaching to our strength. The parents are very accepting of the situation too. It is always interesting to see how two different groups of students react to basically the same lesson.
