abc's
By L.P.

Clip to ScrapBook
My kids love playing an around the world type game with abc cards. Even my lowest student learned all the letters. You could do this in a small group and have this child in with others who might need review. Use only lowercase letters. I had a set I made on my computer. Start with two students and pull off the top card. The first child to say the letter wins that card and they continue "around the world". The child with the most cards at the end, wins. I use gummy bears as a reward. The winner gets 3 and the rest earn 1 gummy just for participating. The competition, along with the gummies, is a real incentive for them. And they are having fun while they learn!
