kinder interview

After reading Jennifer's advice, I weould say she summed a lot up. I teach in NY and our interviews have many NYsState standards and Early Literacy Profile questions. I also think new teachers need to know about basal and textbook scopes and sequences to decide if the materials are completely addressing standards. Saxon phonics and math do a great job at the kinder. level but the district you are interviewing may not use it. Check out what they use, how they feel about it. Also, at the end of the interview, I would like to hear a question from you towards them besides,say, how much will I make? Bring a protfolio with great kinder. ideas or whatever to let them browse too.
