"Sad!?!"

What is sad is that I WOULD prefer to stay home and raise my children. But I don't live in a dream world. If I were staying at home, I would be on WELFARE!!
I am the main income earner in my home. My husband has never out-earned me, and he likely never will - even when I have taken 6 months off to have our children. His job is such that we have feast or famine - more often famine.
I am not placing my career over my children - I am placing food on the table and clothes on our backs. I am also paying student loans, mortgage, car loan....
Consider yourself blessed that you have an option that I do not. I just thank God and my parents for providing the opportunity to provide for myself and my family.
