Romeo and Juliet
By Helene

Clip to ScrapBook
I did Romeo and Juliet every year for my 4th grade class near the end of the year. Bookstores have children's editions of Shakespeare and in play form. Students are familiar with Romeo and Juliet theme and enjoy doing something so sophicated. I made copies from the book I purchased and then had the students read and act from the copies scripts. I also had them bring in pieces of clothing or material, crowns, apron, whatever, just to throw around their shoulders for capes, etc. The kids love it. And don't forget a single red rose for Juliet. Try it, you'll not regret it.
