Integrating Literature and Social Studies
By Kathie

Clip to ScrapBook
I had done an author study on Laura Ingalls Wilder and integrated her books with social studies. What the people wore, how they grew their own food, professions, Family life. For the revolutionary war, etc. I would suggest the Dear America Series. This series is wonderful to integrate with social studies as it touches upon different times. I do not know the exact title, but I do know they have a book about the pilgrim voyage from a child's perspective.
Good Luck
