Job ideas...
By Krissy

Clip to ScrapBook
I am thinking about that too. I used the beehive idea this year, but am excited to start next year with something fresh...
Here are a few of my ideas so far:

*Hot air balloons (or kites) with the students names, blue
paper background, and the jobs written on clouds. A title such as "Soaring to New Heights Helping Out!"

*Small dogs with students names, and doghouses with the jobs. "Lending a Paw in the Classroom"

*An blue ocean background with each students name on a tropical fish. Put the jobs on hooks. "Look whose been caught helping out!"

*Vines and leaves (you can make vines out of twisted

brown paper and laminate the leaves) Write jobs on leaves and put students names on rainforest type animals such as monkeys, parrots, frogs, etc. Move them around the leaves. "A Helping Habitat"

*A green background with roads (black strips of construction paper with small yellow rectangles down the center) all over. Put the jobs on road signs (Use green paper and print them out on the computer) Put students names on cars. You could even have students find their own cars in magazines or draw one, and laminate for durability.) "A Community of Helpers"

*Small paper computers with job names on them (they have notepads like these at most teacher stores) with small paper disks with students' names on them. "A Program of Helpers"

*Crayon boxes with jobs on them and each students name on a crayon. "Colorful Classroom Cooperation!"

*A blue background with small islands with palm trees all over the place with job names on them. Each island is a different job. Put students names on ships or planes and have them travel around to different jobs. "Travelling Toward Cooperation!"

*Paint containers with job names on them, write student names on small paintbrushes. "Painting a Cooperative Classroom!"

*Lily pads with job names. Each student has a frog with their name on it. "Hopping to Help Out!"

*Flowers with job names on them. Put student names on butterflys, bees, caterpillars, etc. "A garden of helpers!"

*Apple tree with job names on leaves. Each student has an apple to move around the board. "Growing Helpers!"

*Planets, moons, stars, etc. with jobs on them. Each student name on a small space shuttle or rocket. "Blast Off for Success!"

*A rainbow with raindrops. Write jobs on raindrops and put student names on little umbrellas. "It's Raining Helpers!"

*A large tree with leaves with jobs written on them. Small birds with each students name on them. "Tree-Mendous Helpers!"

I hope some of these ideas will work out for you.
Good luck! I can't wait to start fresh with a new year. This was my first year and I have learned a great deal.
