I had a group of 3rd and 4th graders work on researching an animal last year. After they research the animal they had to design a diorama of that animalss habitat and give an oral report describing the animal and where he lives, how he survives, etc. They were very creative. We ahd a tropical rin forest, a desert (both hot and cold), an ocean, a salt marsh, and others. They really had a lot of fun.
