    I am not sure exactly, however I have been debating over the same thing. I think that once you are in your contract you have to stick with it. Don't you have to let potential employers know that you broke a contract in the past?
    I am putting off signing a contract for that reason.

    How do you break it to the boss that you are looking but might stay if nothing better comes along?

    I need advice as well!
