Here's an idea I just found over on the social studies board about integrating math with social studies. It's a recent post by Carolyn about how she uses geometric shapes to display students' art work related to social studies. I'd just bet you could use this idea for whichever unit you decide to use for your 20 hours of individual lesson plans. As far as the big units go, I am sorry I don't have anything wonderful to offer. In MO, we study our state in 4th grade. I suppose you could focus in on your state for one of the units. What do you think?
Good luck. It sounds like quite a task. Let us know how it goes and please share some of your creative ideas as they emerge.
Elaine
