You probably have too many pages in the black ones for spelling notebooks, even for two years...I use those for my writer's notebooks. The others are a bit smaller and only have 40 sheets. If you fold the sheets in half, and use the back, you should have plenty of room for everything. Best of luck, they've really worked well. ;-D
