Here's something funny that happened today. I picked up one of those 100-page black composition books at our WalMart last night and took it into my classroom today. I showed a few of my 5th grade girls and told them I was going to use something like it for spelling next year with my 4th graders. They just about went nuts!!!!! "We just love those!" (squeal, squeal) "Why didn't you get them for us?" etc. All I wanted was their opinion, and I guess they gave it!!!! Ah, the joys of looping!!!!! I love it (and my students too!)!
