getting books

Clip to ScrapBook
We have a publishing company close to our community and every year they open their doors to school teachers, offering surplus books REALLY reduced. The only problem is that it's like a flea market or garage sale, you don't dare put anything down because someone else will grab it, you may not be able to get 20 copies of the same thing, or even 10 and they may not have specific books you're looking for. The experienced teachers usually get together with their teams & decide what they are generally looking for and go as a group, perhaps with some parent volunteers. They gather up potential books, then meet in a corner and make some decisions. It's really hairy, but some say it's worth the hassle!
