Most likely not By Cathy-Dee

The school would have already had information on your experience, schooling etc., when you applied for substitute teaching. Most school divisions will hire certified and non-certified substitute teachers. The only difference| for you right now is that you would not have your certification yet so you most likely would be paid for that day at a lower rate. I can't see how this would affect your applying for a permanent position, etc., The only problem that could arise is if you lied on your application or to the school and said that you had already graduated or had already received your certification. | | If you did (intentionally or not) then you should talk to the school asap to clear it up. One day difference isn't going to make a huge difference I would think, but call the school division to check on how they handle non certified substitutes and the pay difference so you are at least aware of that. In some cases if you have applied for your certification and take substitute jobs in the interim, you can get back-pay once you receive the certification. Each school division seems to handle this differently. Good luck with your job search and new teaching career
