igloo

Clip to ScrapBook
Ann: You've gotten no replays yet, so I figured I'd give it my best shot. I've never tried this, but have seen them in several classrooms. To the best of my knowledge, the construction is done with LOTS of hot glue, so it
may not be student appropriate and may fall under the "parent helper" project category. A base is made in a circle, leaving a section open. Build upon this base, layer by layer, always connecting the jugs with hot glue. I don't know how you get the dome top idea to work, though. The openings (jug tops) face inside the igloo, with the square bottoms facing out. I suggest being sure that
jugs have their caps glued on to prevent students from inserting pencils, etc or more valuable items inside capless jugs or ones which they can unscrew the lids off. Good Luck!
