full days pay
By Terri

Clip to ScrapBook
While I can understand Michelle's position on the subject, and have worked and been paid for many half days. I also have been known to pitch in on special projects and use my planning periods to work in other classes. But I feel it would only be common courtesy to a substitute that if you SCHEDULE them for a full day and don't need them to SUBSTITUTE FOR ANOTHER TEACHER, that you PAY them for a full day. We don't get paid for snow days, we don't get paid for cancelled conferences, cut us some slack. We do not come to schools to get done all the little things teachers can't get to, we are there to fill a need... to TEACH.
