I am also a first grade teahcer. This really isn't a comment - sorry! I am working towards my masters degree and right now I am taking a class on curriculum. Rewriting curriculum to be specific and I am really interested in how these teachers rewrote their curriculum. Is there any way to get that information? I know this doesn't help you - but I am having the same dilema as you are. I also have mixed feelings about the idea, find the regement a little scarey, and don't want to waste time on something that is ineffective. Please let me know if I can get any information on that!
