evaluation
By CR

Clip to ScrapBook
Karen,
I am sorry that you have to go through such an extensive process. I do understand the need for you to have some evaluation, but it should not be the same as the new teachers. I know that in my state (CA) we get
many teachers from other states where the needed preparation is not parallel to what California requires, especially because our high population of bilingual learners. So, teachers new to CA are expected to take extra classes at universities, etc...but the taped interviews and long range plans are over the top! Is that a state or a district requirement?
Have you checked to see if
anything you did in your old state could count for one of your new requirements?
What state are you in anyway?
Good luck...I do think the idea of going to your union is a good one!
