I am just a student teacher this year, so I don't know everything that the teachers have to do in my school. I am in Pittsburgh, PA. The teachers have to arrive at school between 7:30 and 7:45. The students arrive at 8:40 and class starts at 9:00. Lunch is at 1:00 for fifth grade with 20 minutes to eat and 20 minutes of recess. School is over at 3:00, but the buses do not all leave until 3:40. Teachers can leave after 3:45. I don't know about extra things that are required for the teachers in the evening or on weekends.
