In our school, teachers sign in by 7:45. Breakfast duty (1 x weekly) is 8:00 - 8:15. Teachers pick up/meet their classes at 8:15 and instruction begins no later than 8:20. Each class has a 25 minute lunch period around
11:30. Teachers have duty 1 x weekly and may eat in the lounge the other 4 days. Students have PE 30 min daily giving us planning time. Recess is 20 minutes during the afternoon and we each supervise our own class daily. Students leave at 3:15 and we are allowed to leave at 3:30. We have study group meetings 1 x weekly for professional development from 7:45 - 8:15. One time monthly

we have early dissmissal days (1:00) for professional development. We also have 2 early dismissal days each semester for parent conferences. However, most parents can't come because they are working! My only really big complaint about our schedule is that the kids really need a moring and an afternoon break. They have really been cutting back on recess and pe time in our state. They haven't figured out that young children just cannot go without some movement and break time -- not to mention going to the bathroom!
