rookie teacher? By ab

I have been through this, too. I moved to a new school and likewise found that the principal treated me like I had never taught before. He was visiting my class every day while the kids were in the room, then stopped me in the hallway when I was alone to tell me stuff like how my kids didn't walk straight enough in a line, and reminding me about the importance of having good classroom managment, watching my transitions, and making sure that everybody's needs were met. I have taught for 15 years and felt that the problem was that the principal himself is brand new this year and is trying very hard. I think that after you have been in this school for more than one year you will receive more respect from your boss.
