Point Goals
By Kristin

Clip to ScrapBook
There is a recommended goal scale in either AR or STAR...It is in the reports section. It's a table a page long that shows approximate goals for different reading ranges and grade levels based on 1 hour of reading a day. It is a good place to start and then you can modify the goal during the grading period.

What is really cool about AR is that you can input goals for each student into the program. When the kids get the report after they take a quiz, it shows how far they are to their goal (percentage) and the percentage of the grading period that has gone by. Those percentages should be about equal so the kid always knows how they are doing.
