Homework
By Sarah Wilson

Clip to ScrapBook
I couldn't agree more with everything that has been said about this topic. It is a nightmare. One of the things that I try to do is something beyond continued practice for homework. I assign less at the beginning of the year, because students will have difficulty with the type of assignment, then it is easier to add more later.
I try to assign thinking and problem solving assignements or assignments to test previous knowledge before we begin a new concept. I try to make it work for me.
The students check their own work and are on the honor system to tell me if the have or have not done their work. Missing assignments mean lower grades.
