I'd be offended
By kristy

Clip to ScrapBook
As a parent, I have to tell you, I'd be offended that such a sweeping use of magic/wizardry/etc. was emphasized in a manner that gave my child no way to not participate -- she couldn't even get in the classrroom. Let me be clear, that I would never try to have the book banned -- I recognize the interesting plots and themes. I read the first one and was mesmerized by the great writing style. (And I'm not trying to start a big discussion on the pros and cons of Harry Potter) However, I do not want my children inundated by Harry Potter and it would not be a good way to start the school year with me as a parent.
