Hi! I agree homework everynight is frustrating- not only for the students to complete it (who doesn't do it, who does it on the bus on the way to school) but for myself to figure out what to assign and make the neccessary copies if they are simply handouts. I'll admit there were several times this year that I assigned homework, collected it, and never looked at it. What I really can't stand is when there are a few parents who complain that I don't give enough homework!! (I give 3 assignments a night!) and then they ask if I can assign their child extra homework! I tell them that they should read everynight but that's not good enough.
My distrcit doesn't have a policy on homework and the amount and type varies from teacher to teacher.
