In my 4th grade classroom (I'm 1/2 now), I gave a pretest on Tuesday. The students who got 100% on the pretest had their name put into a bowl. I drew out a name on Friday right before the regular spelling test. The winner gave the spelling test to the other students. They loved it. I also had students who aced the test come up with their own list, approved by me.
