help with PTO involvement

Clip to ScrapBook
Use the tried and true method. Have the largest class put on some sort of play/musical or march in with some banners made in the class. Let parents know ahead of time that someone will be there to take pictures, you know,
for the YEARBOOK ! ! ! Here's another thought that I pitched to our headmaster this year. Have a meal or food catered. This can be simple like pizza and soft drinks, or you can live on the edge with fried chicken and all that stuff. Working parents will thank you, have the meeting start a bit earlier than if everyone went on home to eat. Have tickets pre-paid so you know what to
order. Charge less than 20% over your cost, you keep the profits. You will always have some no-shows and that is money you can keep. Let folks know that they can come after the meal just for the meeting, also.
