We kept track of countries' medals on the wall in the hall, with the symbols for each sport, gold/silver/bronze medal winners. We also kept track of US winners of each medal. Others in the building did check us out frequently. I'm sure the theme could be expanded in your room, with a mock olympics activity as a culminating activity. Have fun.
