quilts
By Amy L.

Clip to ScrapBook
For a beginning year theme, you could do something simple like a teambuilding/get-to-know-you quilt, with each student getting a square or two to share things about self and family. It could be a 'Working Together' kind of theme. Another thing we did was outline our theme (the words) on big sheets of ppaper, cut them out into puzzle pieces. Then kids decorated their piece and we put it back together, reinforcing the idea that one person can do something good, and a whole class can make it into something beautiful. It stayed in the hall all year. Let me know if you want other ideas.
