Posting of Honor Rolls
By Mary

Clip to ScrapBook
Interestingly enough, in the district I mentioned earlier, where the parents were concerned about peer correcting, there were no objections to having the Honor Roll students' names listed on a large board in the main lobby
outside the Principal's Office. There also was no objection to the fact that a breakfast was held for the Honor Roll students each quarter during class time, so that those students who didn't make it were left to stare at each other when the others left the room. It's a bit difficult to continue or begin a lesson while more than half of the class is out of the room. The way that the
criteria were set up for who would or wouldn't make the cut also made very odd distinctions between First and Second Honor Roll. Lots of parents got agitated over that! Go figure!!!
