6 Traits

There is wealth of info on the web about 6 traits. One thing I found to be useful was to breakdown each trait and teach it seperate. Then once we had covered all traits we began writing our young authors book for the year. For each trait I found five or six published books that really stressed that trait. Example for the trait VOICE- I read aloud several books and focused on voice- ignoring the other traits until my students mastred this one. (Hint- VOICE was the most difficult for my students to understand and to impliment.)
