i like ___'s class is cooking up a great school year..have students bring in their favorite recipes to make a class cook book..
use the poem with
add one cup of hard work
two cups homework
etc... to decorate a bulletin board...

make a recipe (ex: no bake cookies) and focus on descriptive or expository writing..

the list and possibilities go on...
