leave replacement By Sue

When I worked as an interim teacher, which I am assuming is the same as the leave replacement, I did not sign a contract. I did not have insurance, either. I started out at at substitute pay (which was less than reg. teacher | pay). Then after so many consecutive days at the one school, I received full teacher pay. During this time, I was open about looking for jobs, and I would drive to other schools after school to talk with principals. Luckily for me, the teacher I filled in for was not returning to that job so I was offered it. The rest is family history as they say. I hope the best for you -- | | but don't discount math. Math is often the subject that can make or break a student's desire for college and technical careers. I have tutored students who don't like math -- they say they just don't "get it" but usually they can, with more practice and by using those good old manipulatives - even in 6th grade. Good luck to you and keep us posted! Sue
