Is the permanent sub job a regular contract that will count as a year of experience and put you up on the pay scale for next year? I know in our district, on-call substitutes don't get 'credit' for their experience, even if it's long term. Also, our subs don't have the salary and benefits that contracted teachers have.
It sounds like if you hold out for a regular classroom, you'll get that. Good luck.
