you mentioned that when you interview, you have no alternative behavior management plan to mention... i have read and implimented some of Lee Cantor's techniques from his book "Assertive Discipline".
it has helped me tremendously and is realistic. it pretty much lets children know that they are not allowed to prevent others from learning (hence, not allowed to disrupt, be disrespectful, etc..) and discusses consequences.
it is a matter-of-fact way that doesnt skirt around the issue of discipline. flip through one at a local bookstore to see if it is for you
