differences in our schools By wondering
|
|
It is really quite amazing that schools across the United States differ so greatly in discipline and management. This issue always draws shock and disbelief from teachers who work in (and probably were educated in) schools that don't allow this type of discipline) to teachers who have always been accustomed to this method. Coming from the Northeast,it is illegal in our state to use corporal punishment. I cannot imagine having this option in our schools, but I guess it is more prevalent (sp) than some of us perceive it to be. I wonder how many states actually do allow corporal punishment as a means of discipline in our schools?
