Writing Workshop and Across the Curriculum

Hi Nicole,
There have been MANY great books written about writer's workshop and writing across the curriculum...Try the following authors for possibilities: Lucy McCormick Calkins, Ralph Fletcher, Donald Murray, Regie Routman...One of the books I remember having an impact on my teaching of writing is called 'The Beginnings of Writing'. Another wonderful resource for teaching and integrated reading and writing block at the 3-6th grade levels is Guiding Readers and Writers by Fountas and Pinnell. It will give you a great beginning.
