My two cent's worth... By Sue

I don't see why anyone's personal beliefs in the separation of church and state have anything to do with private school teachers having a private school board. There are private schools where parents actually PAY for teachers| to share their religious beliefs with their children. As shocking as this may seem, it is happening. As long as this is a democracy with a capitalistic economy private schools of various religions there will be a private school sector. I can see that the advice discussed between teachers of Catholic schools, Jewish schools, etc, would be much more specific to their religious beliefs. | | Teachers may suggest and offer certain prayers to each other and for the students. I am sure there are also church historical topics that could come up. I think that these teachers deserve a place to discuss issues without wading through "separation of church and state!" protests....Also, I don't see how public schools using the Winter Concert theme for Christmas has anything to do with the private school teachers having a board. We can't outlaw private schools -- they are here to stay (especially since many legislators and lawmakers also take advantage of them). Therefore, let's give the private school teachers a break and let them do the jobs they are called to do with respect and dignity. And give them a board.
