Depends...

Clip to ScrapBook
Find out how the class is taught. Will the teacher do separate work for the different grade levels? How much is together and how much is separate? Will your son be able to do higher level work now that he'll be with fifth graders?

When I was a kid (about 12 years ago) I was in a combination class, and the teacher had no concept of how to teach it, so she focused on the younger grade and left the rest of us with worksheets. I learned nothing.

Then again, I've known teachers who do great work with their students. They have been doing it for awhile and are very successful at meeting the needs of everyone.

Learn more about the program and find out if it will meet the needs of your son!
