Binders? UGGH!
By Lisa

Clip to ScrapBook
I taught 3rd grade for 3 years and the school had a study skills policy in place that required the students to keep their work in binders. I hated it! The binders don't fit in desks, and they get tossed around so much that the papers rip out of the binder. That causes a neverending process of students taping the holes so they can put their papers back in. Some students don't bother with that--they just slide the papers inside the front cover of the binder, which results in papers all over the floor. In addition, trying to make sure all the students stayed organized and everything was filed properly was a nightmare! I spent at least 45 minutes a week doing binder checks, and I still had students losing papers and being unorganized!
