those kids

I just finished my first year of teaching at a small school. My class was awful and every teacher wondered how I "did it." Well, the year is over and I heard that the fourth grade teachers arranged the classes so that they are "balanced" for next year. My only worry is that one of the teachers is moving up to fifth grade with me and she has handpicked the kids she wants and giving me the behavior problems. This is making me nervous, because I don't want another year of bad times as I had this past year. I would like to go to the guidance counselor with the list when I get it, but I am afraid of "rocking the boat."
