2/3 split

Hi! I will also be teaching a 2/3 split this next school year. I have taught 3rd grade for the last three years and have also taught 2nd grade in the past. I have been using some time this summer to integrate the two curriculums
as best I can. This will save on planning time later. I also am developing theme based units so that I can cover standards from each grade level. Our school this year will be using Literacy Learning in the classroom. I am sure this will be very beneficial plus I use workshop way and learning centers in my classrom. As you know, we all have many student levels within a straight grade

classroom. This isn't that much different. Treat the split more like a multi-age room and you will be fine. I would also like to keep in touch with other 2/3 teachers to share ideas or be pen-pals.
